Important notes
Ash Echoes is a gacha game that has been out for already close to a year with their CN servers, so this tier list is based on that. It will have characters that are not available on the global version.
In this game, team composition will have a bigger impact than using units from higher tiers. Build a team around the units you like and use this tier list as reference. This is super important, but I know people will just skip the advice and go directly to Tier 0.
Lastly, this tier list is translated from the CN communities, making some adjustments for the global version of the game. Credits and references are linked at the bottom.

About the tiers
Tier 0
The best units of the game. As long as you build a team around them, you can clear all available content in the game. Please remember that team synergy it’s even more important than the tier the characters are placed in for Ash Echoes.
Tier 0.5
Strong units that excel at their roles. All of them could be Tier 0 if it wasn’t because of heavy investment, specific team compositions, needing dupes or a mix of the three. They are, of course, units still worth using and investing into.
Tier 1
Good (and strong) units that require investment or specific team compositions to achieve their max potential. They can fit into a lot of teams, will help you with game progression at any point and the end game modes we currently have.
Tier 2
Decent units that are usually more niche and used on specific situations, team compositions or elements, making them lose some value outside that use. They’re typically less effective than other options, but still strong contenders depending on what teams you can build right now.
