Character traits
Review
The second limited character of the NieR collaboration with NIKKE. Just like 2B she’s another strong unit that can benefit all players regardless of their current progress.
Let’s take a look at her whole kit:
Skill 1 increases charge speed and explosion radius while bursting for 15 seconds. This might not seem like a lot, but will do two things.
Increase your overall damage by around 30% while the skill is active, and also make her go brrrr with the extra charge speed.
Skill 2 activates when attacking with full charge, which the AI should always do, dealing an extra 30% of damage. That is not a lot, but the juicy part is the second line.
While attacking parts with full charge, you deal 40% extra damage to those parts, and with the explosion radius she has, she’s hitting all parts as long as they’re close enough (most bosses).
This is where A2 shines the most, bosses with multiple parts or levels with a lot of adds, as she will be hitting everyone with Skill 1 and her burst.
And speaking of her burst, it’s pretty good.
She will enter Mode B and decrease her own HP every second, while also increasing her ATK and charge speed.
This combined with skill 1 makes her a complete beast of a DPs and one of the best rocket launchers in the game as of right now.
The best part is that con can have 100% uptime in Mode B as long as you run good healers, so if you have bunny girls or an invested healer, she will always be above 40%.
Healers for permanent Mode B
Most healers need investment to be able to keep A2 above 40% HP if Mode B is activated. The easiest team to make with her is using bunny girls (Blanc and Noir), but there are also a lot of options if you don’t have them.
Campaign
It doesn’t matter if we talk about early or late campaign, A2 is a monster. You can see her with the usual meta teams consisting of Liter, bunny girls and another DPS of your choice most of the time.
She helps to clear waves of monsters instantly, and it’s a menace for bosses with parts or adds. If the boss doesn’t have parts, she does lose some damage, but nonetheless she’s still amazing for new and veteran players alike.
The only downside she has on campaign is that she needs a healer on the team to not end with less than 40% HP thanks to Mode B.
Solo & Union Raid
Since her release, we’ve seen A2 in most raid bosses thanks to her damage to parts and incredible damage output.
Like we mentioned previously, she is usually in the same team as the bunny girls since they are the perfect combo to keep her alive and also increase her damage numbers.
Should you reroll for A2?
IMPORTANT: You can’t reroll for limited units unless the event is active.
If you were playing during the NieR event and she was your waifu, yes, it’s worth rerolling for her.
Even while being a unit that requires specific team compositions, she’s super strong and will carry you through the campaign.
If you are keen on rerolling, consider checking our guides to see what are the units you should be aiming for.
