Abyss: Chapter 40 boss

A really annoying boss that will one-shot your whole team if not using a good team composition.

Abyss mechanics

This boss has two mechanics you need to worry about; his passive and his active skill.

• Active skill is a constant dragon breath

  • This will, in most cases, one-shot your whole team if you don’t have enough sustain
  • There is no cooldown. He will keep spamming this and his stun skill on a random order
  • It’s normal to restart the boss multiple times until you get a good sequence of skills

• Passive skill

  • Attack increased by 40% and 30% damage reduction
  • Nothing to do here other than using pets that can help you ignore damage reduction

• Incredible damage for bosses and clearing groups of enemies thanks to both her passive skills
• Can spam her active skill when she uses her Ultimate skill increasing her damage output
• Highest base critical chance that only increases even more if you are using her own card
• Can be used on any team composition without worrying about synergies

If you don’t run enough support characters for this boss he will one-shot you with his constant breath skill.

Everyone it’s using their own card at level 10 but Isolde who’s using Prydwen (also level 10).

I ran full auto and the only thing you need to worry about is fishing crits with your main damage dealer.

My Tiamat had, at the time of doing this boss, 478% Crit Damage. You can achieve this with a good rune (2-3 lines of crit plus refine level 100), her own card and a good Dragon Buster staff (2-3 lines of crit + refine level 100).

What about pets?

The only pet that it’s “mandatory” is Phoenix. We are crit fishing with Tiamat.

Higher stats usually mean having an easier time on all fights, so use your units / pets with most dupes.
