Limit break system guide

Dupes are an important part of most gachas since they provide extra passive effects, stats, and most importantly, at max limit break you get a new illustration for your favorite character.

Each character on Sword of Convallaria can go from 1-star all the way to 5-stars, increasing their passive effects each time they limit break. You also gain a small boost to your base stats, but it’s not a big difference.

Every character is different and not all of them need 5-stars to work, check our character pages for recommendations on where to stop farming if you are a F2P or low spender.

Where to farm dupes

You can grind character shards only once per day, and it’s limited to 9 shards at max level.

• Shards are distributed amongst the characters you bring to the level
• To maximize gains, you want to bring 3 characters each time
• Each character can only get a maximum 3 shards per day
• It takes 100 days to get an SSR from 1-star to 5-stars

Do you need 5-star characters?

Like we said already, each character is different, but most will reach full potential with 3 stars. There are exceptions to this rule like Maitha, Alexei and a few more that benefit more from 4 or 5 stars, but it’s not that common.

For F2P and low spenders, it is better to focus on getting multiple characters to 3-stars rather than going for 5-stars from the get-go since that will take you 3 months considering you do not miss a single day of farming.

Dupe shop

If you already have a character with max limit break, the shards will go to your inventory, and you will be able to exchange them on the dupe shop.

This shop includes a lot of rewards that are worth waiting for but take into consideration that it will take months until you can exchange anything here as a F2P.

• A lot of materials

My recommendation for this shop is just to save for the SSR selector, the rest of the stuff is cosmetic or materials you will be able to farm over time.
