– Her buff % numbers are just too low for a 40-second burst 2 making it super hard to justify bringing her on any team
– Damage share finds zero usage on PVE, making Bay another PVP only focused unit that is not meta even there
– Her damage taken decreased buff for allies is only 9% every other rotation
– Her cover repair (max cover HP increased) is not even good enough since it’s also only can be used every 40 seconds

Review

Bay is here and… we get another PVP focused unit that it’s not even meta there. Let’s talk about her kit, where she shines, and possible team compositions.

Starting as usual with skill 1, she gets a permanent damage share and DEF after she burst for the first time. The problem is that this skill finds no usage on PVE and the DEF buff it’s only 10%.

Skill 2 finds a similar issue, it will recover cover’s HP for everyone on the team after she bursts, but… it’s only 3% of Bay’s final HP every second for 5 seconds. Every 40 seconds. Nearly not enough to keep everyone’s cover healthy for another 40 seconds, unless you pair her with units like Biscuit.

Then we get to her burst, which surprise surprise, it’s the same. Increases cover’s max HP and provides a team wide damage taken reduction buff. The damage taken is not big enough to be worth using, even more if we consider she is a 40-second unit and the max HP for the cover it’s only for Bay, not everyone on the team.

I’m not sure who was cooking this unit, but they should stay away from any kitchen.

Team compositions

With everything said above, the compositions for PVE are really limited when it comes to adding another burst 2 in your compositions, since playing 1-2-2 means less damage most of the time.

She could be used on any team where your main burst 2 is 40 seconds, for example Biscuit / S. Anis teams but, even there, why would you bring Bay over anything else?

All that yapping, sadly Bay is not a great unit (we’re still pulling because… reasons). Hopefully Shift Up stops making kits like this.

Should you reroll for Bay?

No (unless waifu). She really sucks for PVE content, and it’s even niche for PVP, since you will only use her on specific team compositions to survive one-shots from specific counterparts (Scarlet teams).
