Nihilister

A Heretic and loyal subject of the Rapture Queen who has long been a scourge to all Nikkes. As the lead general of the legions under the Queen’s command, her belligerence knows no bounds, nor does her appetite for destruction.

Normal Attack ■ Affects target enemy. Deals 69.04% of ATK as damage.

Skill 1 – Burning Shot ■ Activates when attacking with Full Charge. Affects self. Gain Pierce for 1 round(s). Piercing Radius ▲ 50% for 1 round(s). ■ Activates when a normal attack hits 2 or more enemies concurrently. Affects all enemies hit. Deals 50.33% of ATK as additional damage.

Skill 2 – Megiddo Flame Active – Cooldown 9.00S ■ Affects enemy unit(s) within attack range. Deals 112.64% of ATK as damage.

Burst Skill – Burning Scourge Active – Cooldown 20 seconds ■ Affects enemies within the attack range. Deals 158.59% of ATK as damage. Burn: Deals 13.19% of Atk as sustained damage every 1 sec for 10 sec. ■ Affects self. Max Ammunition Capacity ▲ 6 round(s) for 15 sec.

Review

Nihilister is the 2nd playable Heretic Pilgrim unit added to Nikke, however compared to the previous release (Modernia) her release was not super well received as she is the 1st Pilgrim unit to be released under the Liberation system.

There were high expectations for these characters release due to leaks that were discovered early on in the game’s release. With her weapon type and design leaked as a RL type unit (with her big… dragon heads) People were heavily expectant of a really badass unit they could finally use in the Pilgrim tower.

She kept half of that, by being one of the best designed units in the game. She however released different from the initial perception and way weaker than most people were hoping.

Taking a burst 2 slot in most teams means you lose out on some form of utility or buffs given to the team as that slot is taken up by some very competitively strong units (Blanc, Guilty, Naga, Novel and Centi) to name a few.

There is a lot of talk saying she is a terrible unit, the character definitely needs some help, especially in her skill multipliers.

For how long it takes to unlock her, I think it is safe to ignore her for now (unless you want to collect her) and spend the time unlocking a unit like Guilty instead. She takes less time to unlock and provides similar damage output (even more in some cases).

Nihilister will definitely help you progress in tower quite a bit more if you aren’t far invest into any pilgrim units but are willing to reset her unlock missions to unlock her faster.

Campaign

We can’t talk about early campaign due to the restriction that you cannot start the Nihilister Liberation before completing Chapter 21-32.

Using her in late campaign is restricted to the most recent chapters released. And at that point there is a higher chance that you have better units that you could use in your main team (higher limit breaks, skill investment, etc.)

Using her is not recommended unless she’s your waifu, and you want to fully invest in her.

Solo & Union Raid

It’s difficult to recommended using Nihilister in competitive contents unless there is a strict requirement to use a unit with the matching element or if you have her so heavily invested to the point where you absolutely have to use her over a utility Burst 2 because she provides more damage.

Getting copies of her without saving your union raid tokens is a long process and I would suggest if you really love the character and have been saving then it is probably fine to forgo other things in the shop for more copies.

But this is overall the wrong play without high investment into harmony cubes, as those provide more overall to units on your entire account.
