Review

Pepper is a shotgun using support who does quite respectable damage… for a healer.

Her healing is based on her final bullet shot, so playing her manually is almost essential if you are in need of higher healing over anything else.

You can maintain overall higher healing without playing her manually if you are using units that lower the ammo clip amount (Privaty) and can increase reload speed. Allowing her to consistently fire and reload to maintain a good amount of overall healing.

There really isn’t an absolute need to play her on manual as she will still give out heals fairly constantly, and her burst is a 20-second cooldown instant recovery that is fairly good.

There are definitely uses for Pepper in all content, she is a middle of the pack NIKKE with fairly good usage and damage, but you are either using her in the Burst 1 main position which you generally sack a lot of support buffs and utility, or as a secondary Burst 1 where you normally would sack another DPS unit.

The biggest issue using her is that most of the cooldown reduction units available in the game are burst characters, so you have limited team compositions since you will have to place your CDR on your burst 2 (Dolla) or somewhere else.

Even with her downsides, she is a pretty popular option for a healer in raids for your last couple of teams. When it comes to campaign, the only reason to use her if you are lacking the meta girls like Liter, Volume or Dorothy.

Should you reroll for Pepper?

She’s not a bad option to reroll for if you are looking to get a sub-DPS and a support. By herself, I don’t think her kit justifies enough of a reroll only to get Pepper.

If you are keen on rerolling, consider checking our guides to see what are the units you should be aiming for.
