MOG 2.0 Best Characters

There are 7 Characters you can choose from. You will get 2 of these characters for free at the beginning; the other 5 need to be unlocked by gaining gold and picking up items in certain stages.

There are only 3 characters you want to focus on; the rest start with a Bad weapon, have a bad upgrade tree, or have a bad Ultimate Skill.

Exia, Scarlet, and Red Hood (Normal) are the most important characters. They have the highest ATK amount possible in their upgrade tree and the best Ultimates in the game. The only downside is that all their starter weapons are average and won’t carry you through any stage.

Exia’s Ultimate is insane for killing massive amounts of raptures and decent at killing bosses; Red Hood’s Ultimate is solely for killing Bosses and is pretty terrible for normal mobs; and Scarlet’s Ultimate is a middle ground and is decent for both.

This puts Exia slightly higher because her ultimate handles bosses and swarms better than the other two in terms of being user-friendly. (If you struggle to aim Red Hood’s Ultimate or if bosses take too long with Scarlet, use Exia instead.)

All their upgrade trees end with the same stats; we will ignore the forced upgrades like weapon levels, run speed, and defense. The ones you want to focus on are POW upgrades and ATK Speed upgrades. The second to last upgrade should be Size increase instead of projectile speed. To fully upgrade 1 character, it will take 482,000 coins.

Choosing between the characters is important for different levels because of their Ultimates. For Mines – II, you want to pick Red Hood for the most damage on the boss; this will take more practice and skill to use than Exia’s, but it’s more damage on a single target. (Scarlet isn’t the top choice for bosses or swarms, but she’s still a great character.)

For something like Challenge Stage – β, your best choice is going to be Exia because the normal mobs are the hardest part of that level. For Challenge Stage – α, you can pick whichever you prefer.
