Pros

– Good 20-second burst cooldown budget support with ATK buff
– Extra burst gauge speed is nice for auto players as an SMG unit
– Max ammo buff allows for niche infinite ammunition teams
– Damage reduction on skill 1 is a lot better than DEF buffs

Cons

– Dispel has no usage on the current game right now
– Max ammo buff means reduced team compositions
– Getting max stacks takes some time even with the duplication of stackable buffs

Review

Mica is finally here, and sadly her kit isn’t up to par with the other recently released limited units. Let’s go over her whole kit and what makes her a niche unit that will find usage on accounts with a limited roster and some team compositions for infinite ammo.

Skill 1 has a damage taken reduction for the full team which is better than any DEF buff thanks to the damage formula of the game, but it takes a long time to fully stack, even with her synergy on the rest of the kit (more on that below).

It also increases max ammo continuously as long as it’s fully stacked. It will take some time to proc, but after you reach that point it’s easy to maintain.

The constant max ammo is pretty good, but also means that the team compositions are limited, since you cannot pair Mica with units that have skill proc conditions of “last bullet hit the target”. On a unit that already has difficulties competing with other burst 1 NIKKES, this limits even more her usage.

Skill 2 activates after landing 150 attacks, increasing the count of stackable buffs by 1. This helps with her previous skill making it easier, but as it’s 150 bullets it will still some time to fully stack. It also finds synergy with units that have similar conditions to proc, like Diesel with her “Strawberry Candy” and “Mind If I Borrow This?” from Guilty.

This skill also will make Mica fill the gauge burst bar three times faster than other SMG units, which is pretty good for auto players but kinda useless for most people on this type of weapon since you are most of the time manualling a RL or SR to fill it faster anyway. Still, extra burst generation is always welcome, regardless of who gets it.

Lastly, her burst skill includes a wide ATK buff with an almost 40% at max level and a dispel. ATK buff is losing some importance compared to elemental advantage, but it’s still one of the most desired buffs for supports in the game.

Dispel, on the other hand, has 0 usage on the current game outside of Ultra, and even there you don’t need it. Hopefully Shift Up includes some mechanics where we can make use of this skill on both Mica and Cocoa, but right now “future-proof” is copium for this.

All in all, a good budget support unit for people who are lacking a full roster of NIKKE and require more burst 1 options for Solo & Union raids. I would not really recommend pulling or investing on her unless waifu (stare) or because FOMO since she’s a limited unit.

Should you reroll for Mica: Snow Buddy?

She’s a limited character, so unless you start rerolling when her banner is up, you can’t get her. As a support with low utility for the current meta, we don’t recommend rerolling for her at the time of her release.

If you are keen on rerolling, consider checking our guides to see what are the units you should be aiming for.
