Phases

Phases: Remember the Phases if you want to learn the raid

  1. Laser x4 (If Front Tentacle not Destroyed, It will launch an AOE Atk)
  2. Respawn 2 Back Tentacle > Spawn 2 Waves of Missiles > Hydro Cannon
  3. Respawns 2 Back Tentacle > Elemental Shield with QTE (Only Wind Nikkes can break the QTE)
  4. Respawns Front Tentacles > Laser x4 > Respawns Back Tentacles > Spawn 2 Waves of Missiles > Hydro Cannon
  5. Respawns Both Front and Back Tentacles
  6. Respawns 2 Back Tentacles > Elemental Shield with QTE (Only Wind Nikkes can break the QTE) < Laser > Hydro Cannon
  7. Repeats Phases 5 and 6 till the raid Times out

General Tips – This Boss’s Attack patterns are heavily dependent on how quickly the bosses parts are destroyed. Therefore, timestamping this boss would be fairly difficult as it would vary from seconds to even minutes depending on the skill of the player. As the First phase can last up to 120 seconds if you simply do not deal enough damage to break the parts.

Quick Time Events (QTE). For this Solo Raid, you should clear the QTE as fast as possible for the Kraken to Phase out and spawn more Tentacles to destroy.

Notable units for this Solo Raid

This Guide will mainly cover team compositions for the Challenge Mode of the newest Solo Raid in NIKKE featuring Kraken Z.E.U.S (Wind Adv)

Scarlet Black Shadow: Strongest DPS by far, and her being wind adds that extra bit for her to shine in this SR. Pretty straightforward character as her AOE hits and destroys other tentacle parts that spawn. Staple for every SR.

Red Hood: Huge firepower with lethal team wide attack buffs and pierce for multishot. Staple for every SR.

Ludmilla Winter Owner: MG with huge firepower and constant suppressive fire with no reload or instant reload builds, comes with damage taken increased debuff and huge self-attack buffs. Great pairing with Red Hood due to her being an amazing DPS and a buffer.

Alice: Though off element, she packs huge firepower with built-in pierce, high ATK power and insane charge speed similar to Red Hood. Pairs the best with Scarlet Black Shadow due to her charge speed buffs which she will abuse.

Sakura Bloom in Summer: The newest wind DPS and shows potential, even out DPS-ing Scarlet and Modernia depending on the situation. With her Constant Near Permanent Nukes from her Sustain Damage and Strong Part Breaker skills.

Private Unkind Maid: Due to the Kraken’s placement, shotguns are actually ideal for this fight and actually does deal a respectable amount of damage to Kraken, provided the adequate supports are used most notably, Tove and Leona.

Snow White: Since there are multiple parts and multiple pierce angles, Snow White will always shine. Being able to double to even three-fold her charged burst allows the damage to easily rack up. Although her uses maybe be niche and needs a lot of investment for the team she is built around, she is still standing strong as one of the better DPS’s.

Scarlet: Though she maybe a secondary DPS, Scarlet still does a good amount of damage with a buffer as long as she’s paired with a healer she should not die easily.

Modernia: Though we might say her burst is bad for bosses, her base auto damage still packs a punch, and even more so when paired with buffers. Very good as a Sub-DPS filler option as a 3rd Burst 3 where you do not burst her and just let her auto.

Soda Twinkling Bunny: She does good damage even without much investment, however her 15-second burst rotation makes her a double-edged sword, as it makes rotations in between longer. She works alone and even better with the usual Shotgun Buffers: Tove & Leona and does respectable amounts of damage similar to Maid:Privaty.

Since supports are basically the bread and butter of SR, being able to mix and match supports to figure out optimal Setups should lead to higher damage dealt overall. However, these are some notable supports used in Solo Raid in General

Team compositions for Kraken Solo Raid

For every Composition Listed here: Except possibly composition 1, the player needs to be managing their QTE throughout the whole fight.

These are just some of our recommendations and by no means set as the (best), as not everyone will have the same units and most of the time, the last team is just the leftover units.

It’s up to the player to see what teams they can use based on their available units, and we hope this guide can serve as a reference on some popular compositions used for Solo Raid.

With this Compositions, ALL triggers can actually be ignored, and the player can just focus on the core or destroying more parts. However, we do recommend that the player tries to destroy parts during Alice’s Burst with pierce for maximum efficiency so that there is lesser in between timing when moving from part to core and vice versa.

In this composition, all units work well with one another, giving Red Hood the required buffs she needs to deal optimal amounts of damage. With Naga & Tia most triggers can be outright ignored as covers and heals are more than sufficient to cover Red Hood as she deals damage.

Ludmilla still is one of the best pairing with Red Hood as she does a good amount of damage during her burst and also applies a damage taken debuff on Bosses allowing both of them to deal increased damage.

With her kit allowing for no reload and instant reload builds, she makes this incredibly easy to do while providing increased damage to cores and supportive debuffs like damage taken increased and huge self attack buffs to add to her offensive power.

With Summer Sakura, this raid generally also becomes a cakewalk even without the meta supports.

With Helm’s Burst every alternate burst cycle, the team is able to keep up with the damage sustain and healing while Sakura is constantly breaking the new parts that spawns and Rosanna buffing Sakura’s sustain damage for further constant near permanent nukes.

A side PSI for this set would be to I-Frame the missiles and destroying the front tentacles as soon as possible, as taking too much AOE attacks can kill Scarlet due to her losing health off her attacking.

Very Similar to Team 2 with Red Hood however not nearly as enough firepower compared to her. When Bursting Maxwell try to go for a double pierce or if not aligned just aim the core as she is also being buffed by D: Killer Wife.

Noir Shines here being wind and actually does a good chunk of damage here with Maxwell buffs

DO NOT BURST MODERNIA as bursting her here is just a lost of DPS, and she is there to just add the extra bit of damage.

Overall very straight forward set just without as much firepower as compared to having Red Hood

Standard Shotgun Team at the moment, nothing much to be said as this is very straight forward. Use Alice’s Burst when healing is needed, as her burst is a 40-second cooldown.

Due to the element of the boss, we have to either change out Tove or Leona for Guilty or this team would not be able to break the elemental shields. I have tested without Alice to run Leona, but this team does have some survivability issues.

Very Similar to Composition 2 with Red Hood however not nearly as enough firepower compared to her. Managing QTE and using Scarlet’s Burst and Modernia’s MG to take down rapture spawns before they begin the channel.
Use helm’s burst whenever it is needed to heal up the team in a pinch and Summer Mary for consistent Healing Overtime to keep the Team Healthy.

Overall very straight forward set just without as much firepower as compared to having Red Hood and JKs
